![]() It is our mission to find a meaning - a place to depose "the flowers we picked" in our dreams. Well, while the "bird" from the first verse goes to dreams, somewhere another "bird" goes out of them. I would be very surprised if these are actually Aurora's lyrics just translated and sung by Pomme. ![]() Before knowing this I was puzzled how I can feel this part, but not so much the first part - Aurora's one. Aurora said "I contacted a French artist, Pomme, to write the ending for me". I hate how much I love these lyrics of Pomme - they go directly to my heart, while Aurora's lyrics go to my brain and her voice goes directly to my heart (more like a meteor trough my heart but I digress). ![]() Somewhere to leave the flowers we picked" Somewhere in the world a bird falls asleep Quelque part où déposer les fleurs qu'on a cueillies" Quelque part dans le monde un oiseau s'endort Based on the reactions to Aurora I saw, I would say that this is Aurora's own dream and she likes it - "the pleasure you feel is real".įor les connaisseurs: "Quelque part, avant l'aube Going back to dreams - they can also be about teaching, entertaining or healing others. "Look at it go, look at it dance over the sky like a rocket On top of the world, it is good and it hurts"Ī pretty faithful description of Aurora Borealis and can be also seen as the painful process of bringing our dreams to light. Life is movement - I guess we can all agree on this.ĮDIT: I can really see Aurora here imagining being an atom (like in Dance on the moon ?) interacting with the sun wind - "Here we are, an atom and a star", a small interaction but part of a great "movement" creating the beautiful Aurora Borealis. I can see here also superimposed a reflection on the human condition - coming from the dark as a part of the "movement", doing our stuff and learning trough pain. I suspect Aurora has read a lot about the Aurora Borealis, so she must know that it's the result of the solar wind interacting with the atoms from the upper atmosphere. You're a part of the movement and everything matters"Īnother small miracle - the Aurora Borealis - the child of the "atom" and the "star". You're a part of the morning and everything matters Machine perhaps because it is unconditional and tireless? "You are part of the dawn where the light comes from the dark We are messy but our dreams can be so pure.ĮDIT: I realize now that this dreams can be also Aurora's one - a "love machine" can be her own dream of dispatching love to the world trough her work. Why machine? Maybe because we humans are messy, loving and hating machines with a purpose while a "love machine" can be pure. It's a dream so pure and beautiful that it hurts knowing that it will shortly disappear - "when the beauty is lost in the speed". So pure and it hurts when the beauty is lost in the speedĪurora takes a look at the dream as "it go" to the heights of the sky like a "rocket" and this is a "cinematic dream" about a "love machine". "Look at it go, look at it dance over the sky like a rocket ![]() dreaming - slipping into those dreams like a "bird" "travelling fast".ĮDIT: "I'm driving your car" can signify that it's actually Aurora dreaming like a baby of a "love machine" in that seat. What is left is an image I suspect very familiar to Aurora (during the long tours in a touring bus) - watching the band members falling asleep in their seats, tired after the last night show, and. I'm going to ignore "your car" and let's admit that Aurora can drive a car in her songs without a license. You're travelling fast like a bird in a dream" "I'm driving your car with you sleeping in the seat next to me I think Aurora is combining and superimposing these two small miracles in the song, while reflecting also at our temporary existence (we know she thought a lot about death). Another small miracle (for all of us as humans that is) is our capability of creating and bringing to light our dreams. Because everything matters." - I realized that such a small miracle (for Norwegians that is) is the Aurora Borealis. Taking at face value what she said about this song - ".
